Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has started rolling out the Android 9 Pie update to its Vivo V11 Pro smartphone in India. Some Vivo V11 Pro users in the sub-continent started noticing the update arrival on their smartphone and it’s based on FunTouch OS itself. While Vivo did not make any official announcement regarding this rollout, we’re expecting it to be a staged rollout being pushed to only a small batch of users at the moment. A Vivo V11 Pro user on Twitter posted that he received the much-awaited update on April 18 via OTA and the company also updated its website stating that there’s a new update being seeding to the V11 Pro starting April 18. The OTA update measures 3.11GB and it might take more than 20 minutes to install fully.

Vivo V11 Pro Android 9 Pie Update: What’s New?
Aforesaid, the latest update is also based on FunTouch OS which is Vivo’s in-house Android skin, but the major change is it’s now built on top of Android 9 Pie. Vivo must’ve added all the major Android 9 Pie features introduced by Google and there will be some more new features from the company to enhance the user experience. Going by the changelog, Vivo states that the update brings New UI Design to the table compared to the older version of FunTouch OS.
Additionally, there’s a new and upgraded Shortcut Centre which will perform an in-app action with a single tap. The update may also include other new features of which details are not available at the moment.
