Vivo X21 is the First Smartphone With Under-Display Fingerprint Scanner in India, Priced at Rs 35,990

Chinese electronics giant and India’s fourth largest smartphone brand, Vivo today announced the first smartphone with the under-display fingerprint scanner in the country. Dubbed as the Vivo X21, this smartphone was launched in China back in March 2018. Vivo launched two variants of the X21 in its homeland, but in India, the company has launched only the variant with¬† under-display fingerprint scanner. Interestingly, the X21 is also part of Android P Beta Program, so if you’re interested, you can get the upcoming Android version installed on your device and test it. Also, the device comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Vivo X21 Specifications and Features
The Vivo X21 is the first smartphone in India with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone has a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. The phone also has a notch on top of the display. At the heart of the phone, we get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, mated with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion up to 256GB.

The Vivo X21 rocks dual camera setup at the back. A 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture is paired with each other. The rear camera comes with bokeh mode as well. To the front, Vivo has equipped the device with a 12MP sensor that has f/2.0 aperture. The device also offers AI-based Face Unlock feature and beauty mode too.

The device measures 7.4mm in thickness and has a weight of 156.2grams to it. A 3200mAh battery backs the entire package and the phone offers connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a USB 2.0 port. The device boots Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Vivo’s FunTouch OS on top. The device also comes with Vivo’s own virtual assistant named Jovi.

The Vivo X21 is priced at Rs 35,990 in India and the device will be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart starting today. Interested customers can pick up the smartphone in Black, Ruby Red, and Aurora White colour options.
