Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL Get March Software Update With Improvements to Camera App

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are getting a new software update for the month of March. With the March software update, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL get new changes and improvements. It is worth noting that the same March update is available for previous Pixel smartphones and also the Pixel C, but the improvements and the updates are available only for the Pixel 3 series of phones. The March update brings the latest March Android security patch to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. This update will reportedly resolve all the security bugs and improve the overall user experience. Additionally, the March update also brings several functional patches to the Pixel phones. It is worth noting that Google is rolling out the software update via traditional OTA. But, users can also download the factory image and then install the update manually on their phones.




Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL Camera Issues Said to Be Fixed

The March software update brings several changes, fixes, and improvements to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The update has improved the camera performance of the Pixels. In the past, to recollect, some Pixel 3 phones users had a complaint about the slow camera app opening. The users had said that the camera app on their new Pixel phones was sluggish and took longer (several seconds) to launch. The users also complained that it took longer to switch between camera different modes. With the March software update, the company has resolved this issue in the camera of the new Pixels.

With the new software update, Google has reportedly improved the setup and response time of the Camera app of the Pixel phones. The search giant has also improved the overall storage performance on the Pixels with the new update. In the changelog, Google also mentioned that now the encrypted media playback on some apps will work much better than before.

The new March software update for the Pixel 3 phones measures around 70MB. The update is already available for download for the latest Pixels – Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

Some Pixel users should have already received the update but if you still haven’t got the update, follow this process: To download and install the update, the Pixel 3 and 3XL users will need to head to the Settings app on their phones and then navigate to System > the to Advanced option > then to System Update option and lastly click on Check for Update.
