Netflix brings some good news for Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL users. Both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL users will now be able to stream HDR content on Netflix, which wasn’t the case until now. Netflix Brings HDR Support to Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL

The HDR streaming support coming to Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL was first reported by Android Police website. With the HDR support coming to Netflix for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, the user of the phones will be able to fully take advantage of the top end display that the two Google phones come with. According to the report, Netflix for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL is now showing HDR badge for the video contents that are shot in HDR.

This option wasn’t there before. Previously Netflix on Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL only showed HD option and hence even though the video was shot in HDR the users weren’t able to stream it in high resolution and hence the video experience on the phones wasn’t as good as expected. Notably, the HDR support is available only for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL users with a Premium subscription, which means users who have been subscribed to Rs 800 plan will be able to watch videos in HDR on their Pixel 3 or Pixel 3XL.

Netflix Has Wide-Range of Plans in India

To brush up the offerings of the Rs 800 plan, under this subscription plan users get access to all video content on Netflix for a month. Under this plan, four users can use the same Netflix account at the same time. This is a great plan for a big family. Overall, with the HDR content viewing option coming to Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL the users will be able to have a better video viewing experience than ever before. Notably, the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL come with 2K displays.

The Android Police report also reveals that Netflix still hasn’t added the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL to its official list of phones with HDR support. The report further reveals that some Pixel 3 users aren’t able to see the HDR option on Netflix yet which could mean that the feature is rolling out to users in a phased manner.
