Moto G7 Launch in Early February

According to the earlier reports, the Moto G7 was said to launch during Mobile World Congress 2019 which usually happens around the end of February. In 2019, MWC is scheduled to take place between February 25 and February 28. However, this new report claims that some of the industry sources have told them that the Moto G7 will be launching in the first half of February, earlier than MWC 2018.

Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Play and Moto G7 Power Leaked Specifications

Motorola’s G7 series include four devices – Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Power and Moto G7 Play. The first two – the Moto G7 and the Moto G7 Plus are said to be expensive models – while the other two – which are the Moto G7 Power and Moto G7 Play will be comparatively cheaper.

According to past reports, the high-end Moto G7 and G7 Plus will come with waterdrop display notch which like other notched phones will include an earpiece and the required sensors. While, on the other hand, the Moto G7 Play and the Moto G7 Power will come with a traditional notch like the one in the iPhone X. On the camera front, the Moto G7 and G7 Plus are said to come with dual cameras on the back panel, whereas the G7 Play and G7 Power are said to pack single camera on the rear side.

As far as the hardware is concerned, the Moto G7 is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC as also found inside the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and the Vivo V11 Pro. The Motorola phone is said to be available in two variants – the base model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage and the second model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This is for the Moto G7. The Moto G7 Plus model – as rumours suggest – will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC and also come in two variants with 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB of RAM with 64GB of onboard storage.

Leaks have also revealed details about the Moto G7 Power. They suggest that the Power model of the Moto G7 will come with a massive 5000mAh battery and be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset paired with 4GB RAM. In comparison, the Moto G7 Play is said to be powered by Snapdragon 632 which also powers the Redmi Note 6 Pro and be backed by 2820mAh battery. On the software front, all four Moto G7 series phones are said to come with Android 9 Pie out of the box.

Motorola might launch the standard Moto G7, G7 Play and G7 Power first and the Moto G7 Plus could launch at a later date in April 2019.
