Apple launched three new iPhones last month. They include – iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. The new iPhones packs a lot of interesting features, and one of them is the eSIM support. Now, what does that mean? Apple, for the first time, has launched a dual SIM support iPhone, but this dual SIM functionality doesn’t work similar to the present day Android phones. For the second SIM or the eSIM, your iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max or iPhone XR you will need the help of your telecom operator. Soon after the launch of the iPhones, Apple has announced that the eSIM support is available to all Airtel users. Meaning, Airtel users with any of the three iPhones will be able to use the second SIM after the telecom operator digitally activates it. In addition to Airtel, Reliance Jio has now started rolling out the eSIM support for all the three iPhones with more telecom operators joining in the future. Vodafone Idea is yet to start offering eSIM support for the latest iPhones.

How to Activate eSIM on iPhone?
The activation can be done by visiting your nearby Reliance Jio store or Reliance Digital store. Here’s how you can activate your Jio SIM as eSIM on your iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR: First you’ll need to head to the nearest Jio Store or Reliance Digital store. You’ll need to visit the store with your iPhone and the phone’s IMEI number for the activation to happen quickly. You’ll then need to fill the Customer Acquisition Form. After completely filling the form you will need to get your details verified by a point-of-sale machine and generate the QR code. The code will be scanned on your iPhone for the eSIM activating to be completed. It is important to note that the eSIM could take a few hours to get activated.
