HMD Global has started pushing the stable Android 9 Pie update to the Nokia 8 smartphone. Notably, it’s a delayed release as HMD was supposed to roll it out by the end of November. Since the company ran into some issues, it pushed a Pie Beta update last week, and now, it’s being HMD Global has been on a roll lately as the company only recently launched the Nokia 8.1 and the handset has already gone up to the extent to become the best smartphone launched by HMD this year. The Finland based smartphone manufacturer has been very committed in delivering the best user experience. In line with the same Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas tweeted that the company is now bringing the Android 9 Pie update to the Nokia 8.

Finally. HMD has recently updated several Nokia phones to Google’s latest Android operating system, but the wait has been a really long one for the Nokia 8 users. In the tweet, Sarvikas mentioned, “Enjoy the festivities with another fresh piece of ? from us – this time on Nokia 8! The phased rollout of #Android 9 Pie for #Nokia8 starts today.”
Nokia 8 Gets Android 9 Pie Update
The wait is finally over. The year-old Nokia 8 is now getting the Android 9 Pie update via OTA. HMD has confirmed that the rollout is happening in a phased manner. This means that some Nokia 8 can get the Android 9 Pie update right now, while others might need to wait for a little longer. But the Android 9 Pie update will come to all Nokia 8 users, according to HMD Global.
As far as the software experience is concerned, HMD has been really committed to delivering the best stock Android interface to its users. Most Nokia phones are powered by Google’s Android One software which means the phones are bloatware free and eligible to get regular software updates, improvements and bug fixes.
