Asus ZenFone 5Z, ZenFone Max Pro M1 Android Pie Update: What You Need to Know

Asus, however, hasn’t mentioned the exact dates of the Android 9 Pie rollout to the ZenFone 5Z and ZenFone Max Pro M1 users in India. During the announcement, the smartphone manufacturer didn’t mention the exact timeline of the software rollout, but the company somewhat revealed that the rollout would happen in a phased manner. Different regions are expected to get the software updates at different times. Considering both the ZenFone 5Z and ZenFone Max Pro M1 sold really well in India we can expect Android 9 Pie to come to the country first. Asus, however, didn’t reveal much about the India rollout and the timeline of the update.

To check whether you have received the software update or not, you’ll need to head to the Settings option and go to the Software update section and check if there’re any updates available for download and install. If there are first ensure to connect the phone to a Wi-Fi network and backup all the data before installing the update. You should also ensure to fully charge the phone before downloading and installing the update.
