Alongside the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2, Asus also launched the successor to the ZenFone Max M1, aptly named as ZenFone Max M2. The ZenFone Max M2 is the second smartphone to launch in India with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset. The phone comes in two variants- 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB. It runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box like the Max Pro M2, and it features a decent 4000mAh battery. Like its predecessor, the Max M2 is also constructed out of plastic entirely and there’s a notch on top of the display this time around. The phone also features dual rear cameras. It takes on the recently launched Honor 8C smartphone which went on for sale yesterday via Amazon India.

Asus ZenFone Max M2: Competitors in India

The primary competitor to the ZenFone Max M2 in India is the Honor 8C which also sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, dual rear cameras, 4000mAh battery and an HD+ display. The letdown for the Honor 8C will be the EMUI software, while the Max M2 scores on the software front because it runs a vanilla version of Android. Another competitor to the Max M2 is the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro which has a Full HD+ display, older Snapdragon 625 SoC, superior dual rear cameras, metal body and a 4000mAh battery.
