After a long wait, OnePlus finally launched the OnePlus 6T. The smartphone has been made official in two colour variants -- Mirror Black and Midnight Black. Looks like, OnePlus 6T is getting a new colour very soon. It is the Thunder Purple. There's, however, no official word regarding the same from the company but the Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T has been spotted on the OnePlus support page, which indicates that the new colour is actually coming very soon. Besides that, the new colour variant has been leaked in renders too revealing the device in full glory.
To recall, OnePlus gave the same treatment to the OnePlus 6 as well. The company launched the OnePlus 6 in Mirror Black and Midnight Black colour variants first and then later in another month brought the Red and Silk White colour variants. OnePlus is following the same strategy with the OnePlus 6T as well.
OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple
This will be the first time that OnePlus will bring this colour to any of its smartphones. Earlier we have seen OnePlus phones in Black, White, and Red. OnePlus has also launched Star Wars Edition for the OnePlus 5T and Avengers Edition for the OnePlus 6T. For the newly launched OnePlus 6T, the company plans to launch a shifting gradient Thunder Purple colour variant very soon. According to tipster Ishan Aggarwal, the Thunder Purple variant of the OnePlus 6T is expected to come with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage model. But, OnePlus is yet to confirm the same.
OnePlus 6T Specifications and Features
The OnePlus 6T isn’t very different from the OnePlus 6 apart from the front design, the in-display fingerprint sensor and the bigger battery. The OnePlus 6T follows that latest trend and come with a waterdrop notch on the front. Instead of the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, OnePlus has decided to embed the sensor inside the display on the OnePlus 6T, just like some of the recently launched Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi phones.
As far as the specs are concerned, the OnePlus 6T comes with a 6.41-inch AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixel resolution and a screen-to-body ratio of 86%. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be expandable via microSD card.
The OnePlus 6T runs Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box unlike the OnePlus 6 which launched with Oreo. But the phone has now been upgraded to Pie. The OnePlus 6T comes with a bigger battery than the OnePlus 6. It is backed by a 37000mah battery. This is also the first phone from OnePlus to not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The camera setup of the OnePlus 6T is similar to that of the OnePlus 6. The smartphone sports a dual camera system on the back. It comes with a primary sensor of the 16MP and secondary sensor of 20MP on the back panel. On the front, the OnePlus 6T comes with a 16MP selfie camera. OnePlus 6T has been launched with a price tag of Rs 37,999 and will available on the OnePlus store and Amazon for purchase.
