Furthermore, it confirmed that both the phones would feature octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, but the company did not reveal which model it's. Asus Zenfone Event Today in India: What to Expect?

The Taiwanese smartphone maker Asus already announced that it's bringing two new smartphones to the sub-continent. In addition, Asus said that they both are India First smartphones, meaning Asus did not launch them anywhere across the world. Talking about the confirmed features, Asus said that both the phone would be budget-oriented ones, so we're not expecting them to be priced higher than the Rs 10,000. And they'll come with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, again, we're not sure about the model. Since Asus is touting the phones will redefine the budget category, we might see them sporting the Snapdragon 435 chipset. Given how aggressive Asus is in India this year, we won't be surprised to see a Snapdragon 450 SoC smartphone coming from the company at an aggressive price.

Further, Asus stated that one device would have a big battery and it offers two-day battery life, same as the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.

Asus Will Remain Aggressive in India

So far, Asus has launched two smartphones in India this year- the first one was the mid-range Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 with Snapdragon 636 SoC at a starting price of Rs 10,999, the second one is the Asus Zenfone 5Z with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and a starting price of Rs 29,999. Both the phones were runaway successes for the brand and we can thank Asus' partnership with Flipkart which allowed the company to become so aggressive in India.

Now both the upcoming Asus Zenfone handsets are exclusive to Flipkart as well, so expect them to be priced aggressively as well. So what are you expecting from today's Asus event? A successor to the popular Zenfone Max Pro M1 or a competitor to the Realme 2 Pro? Let us know in the comments section below.
