Nokia 7.1 Press Renders Leaked Online

The Nokia 7.1 press renders reveal the phone’s design in its entirety. On the first look at the Nokia 7.1, what catches the eye is the notch on top. In addition to that, the phone also comes with a thick chin on the bottom side which sports the Nokia branding in silver finish. On the rear side of the phone, there is the vertically stacked dual camera setup which has been aligned in the middle right above the circular rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Taking a closer look at the back side of the phone reveals that the camera sensor comes with Zeiss Optics lens and it is accompanied by a LED flash which is placed right below the two sensors. There is also the Android One branding on the lower rear side of the phone.

The Press renders of the device also point towards the fact that the Nokia 7.1 will resemble the Nokia 6.1 Plus a lot and it will be a toned down version of the Nokia 7 Plus regarding performance as it will churn out a little less power. The renders also hint towards a glass back and aluminium frame for the Nokia 7.1.

Nokia 7.1 Specifications Revealed by Amazon Listing

On the display front, the phone will sport a 5.84-inch IPS LCD panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio and an HD+ resolution. As per the Amazon listing, the Nokia 7.1 will likely pack the Snapdragon 636 processor which is going to an underwhelming downgrade from the Snapdragon 710 which has been spotted on the Nokia 7.1 Plus. However, as compared to the Nokia 6.1 which comes with a Snapdragon 630, the chipset is a step up albeit a small one. But it's sort of confusing on what HMD Global is up to as the Nokia 6.1 Plus is already available with Snapdragon 636 SoC.

Further information about the Nokia 7.1 reveals that it’s going to come as model number TA-1100 and it will sport 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage along with the SD 636 SoC. There is also going to be a microSD card for expandable storage.

On the software front, the Nokia 7.1 will boot the Android 8.1 Oreo with Android One certification meaning that the Nokia 7.1 will be eligible for the latest updates and monthly security patches.

On the camera front, the Nokia 7.1 will debut with a 12MP primary sensor with a 5MP depth sensor unit. The phone will support 4K video recording and HDR. For selfies, there is going to be an 8MP shooter on the front. For connectivity, the phone will come with Bluetooth 5.0 and Gigabit Wi-Fi.

Nokia 7.1 Pricing and Variants

Along with the press renders, the European pricing of the phone has also been revealed for the Nokia 7.1. As per the report, the 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage variant will bear a price tag of 349 Euros which translates to around Rs 30,000 in India. However, the phone is expected to come with a cheaper price tag when it arrives in India. Further on, the 4GB/ 64GB internal storage variant has been priced at 399 Euros which translates to Rs 34,000 approximately. Keeping in mind that the Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with similar specifications and it bears a sub-Rs 20,000 price tag, the reported pricing of the Nokia 7.1 should be taken with a pinch of salt.
