BSNL is known for introducing circle-specific prepaid plans in the country. The telco has now introduced two new prepaid STVs in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle with unlimited voice calling benefit. The two prepaid plans are BSNL Ananth and Ananth Plus, priced at Rs 105 and Rs 328. Both the plans offer unlimited local, STD and roaming voice calls, but the validity differs. Notably, these plans are also available in other circles too, but with different denominations of Rs 99 and Rs 319. Having said that, the benefit of the prepaid plans remain the same.
BSNL Ananth Plus Prepaid Plan: Benefits and Validity
Firstly, let's talk about the BSNL Ananth Plus prepaid recharge which comes with a validity of 90 days. Users recharging with this plan will be able to make unlimited voice calls to any network in India, sans the users located in Mumbai and Delhi. For the unknown, state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has its operations in 20 telecom circles of India, but the other two circles- Mumbai and Delhi are being covered by Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL). This plan is priced at Rs 328 in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle, but in some circles, the plan can be purchased for Rs 319 only. Do make a note that all the circles will get the same unlimited calling for 90 days.
The voice calling benefit is unlimited and it works even on roaming. Only Jio and Airtel are offering unlimited voice calls to any network in the country and BSNL wants to tackle them with this new calling plan.
BSNL Ananth Prepaid Plan: Benefits and Validity
Moving onto the BSNL Ananth prepaid plan, it's an entry-level plan priced at Rs 105. The benefits of this plan include unlimited local, STD and roaming voice calls for a period of 26 days. Same as the case with BSNL Ananth Plus prepaid plan, the BSNL Ananth plan also comes with unlimited calling without any FUP limit.
BSNL Ananth and Ananth Plus are Voice-Only Prepaid Plans
While the entire industry right now is about combo prepaid plans with data, voice and SMS benefits bundled, BSNL has outed these voice-only plans. The telco believes that there is a section of users who still rely on their phone just for voice calling. Notably, there's a huge section of users who are looking for voice calling plans. Most of the feature phone users in India just want a voice-only plan, and BSNL is targeting those users with the Ananth and Ananth Plus prepaid plans.
BSNL Data Tsunami Pack Aimed at Data-Savvy Users
For data-heavy users, BSNL has a data-only plan of Rs 98 plan, which provides 1.5GB daily data benefit for 26 days. The Data Tsunami plan essentially offers a user 1GB of data at just Rs 1.5, one of the lowest in the industry in recent times. While the craze for text messages is fading away slowly, BSNL did not launch any SMS-only plan until now.
