The Chinese smartphones manufacturer, Xiaomi’s latest budget line-up is already out now in India and buyers cannot stop talking about it. Like Xiaomi did last time, the company has made it to the headlines this time as well. The new line-up includes the budget phones Xiaomi Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro. The phones ship with little to extensive improvements in different areas. Therefore, we have compiled this detailed comparison between the three new phones by Xiaomi to help you decide which one fits your price frame and requirements perfectly.

Xiaomi Redmi 6A vs Redmi 6 vs Redmi 6 Pro: Design and Display

In terms of material and build quality, all the three phones are almost similar. With a metal matte finish on a plastic case, the phones come with decent build quality. The Redmi 6 Pro diverges from the other two in design as it comes with a notch on the front. The Redmi 6 and the lower model Redmi 6A both feature the same 5.45-inch HD+ LCD with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Redmi 6A differs on the rear side as it does not come with a fingerprint sensor. The Redmi 6 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a 5.84-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution, and 19:9 aspect ratio and of course the notch.

As the name suggests, the Redmi 6 Pro offers the best performance by sporting the Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. There is also the Adreno 506 GPU on the phone which will help you play games without worrying.

The Redmi 6 sports the MediaTek Helio P22 while the Redmi 6A packs an Helio A22 processor under the hood. Also, in terms of internal memory, the Redmi 6A remains limited to 32GB whereas the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro offer 64GB of storage. However, all the three phones come with an option of expandable memory by means of microSD card.

All the three phones come with MIUI 9.6 skin with Android 8.1 Oreo. In the coming months, the phones are also bound to get the MIUI 10 update.

In the camera and imaging department, the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro, both get the same setup. On the rear side, both the phones sport a primary sensor of 12MP paired with a secondary depth sensor of 5MP. There is also EIS for stability on the rear camera, on both these devices. Additionally, the front sensor of 5MP on both the phones comes with portrait mode. The same is true for the rear camera setup as well.

In terms of power, the Redmi 6 Pro stands as a clear winner as it gets a massive 4000mAh battery as opposed to the 3000mAh one in the Redmi 6A and the Redmi 6. However, none of the three phones come with fast charging support.

The Redmi 6 comes as the entry-level phone in this entire line-up, and it starts retailing for Rs 5,999 for the 2GB/16GB variant. The second variant of the phone with 32GB ROM retails for Rs 6,999. The Redmi 6, with the 3GB/32GB configuration, comes at the price of Rs 7,999, while the option with 64GB of ROM comes with a price tag of Rs 9,499.

The topmost model, Redmi 6 Pro starts retailing for Rs 10,999 with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage, while the second variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage comes for Rs 12,999. The Redmi 6 Pro has started selling on September 11, while the Redmi 6 was live for sale a day before that. The Redmi 6A will go on sale starting September 19.
