After a Long Delay, Motorola Releases Android 8.1 Oreo Update to Moto G5 Plus

Motorola has finally started seeding the Android 8.1 Oreo update to the Moto G5 Plus owners in India and Brazil. Alongside the G5 Plus, the smaller Moto G5 is also picking up the same Oreo update, albeit only in Mexico at the moment. Moto G5 Indian users have to wait a few more days for the update. To recall, Android Oreo was released by Google a year ago in August 2017, but Motorola has released the update a lot later than expected. That being said, Google even released Android 9 Pie update to its Pixel devices.
