Tecno Launches Camon iACE & iSKY2 Under Rs 8,000 With AI Camera and Face Unlock Features

Tecno, the Chinese smartphone company catering to budget segment buyers has introduced two new smartphones in its Camon line-up. The brand has launched the Camon iACE & iSKY2 which have been priced at Rs 6,799 & Rs 7,499 respectively. Both the phones come with 13 MP AI rear camera, AI-powered selfie cameras, 5.5-inch HD+ screen with 18:9 Full View display, 3050 mAh battery, and Face Unlock capability. While the iACE has already started selling in the country across 35,000 retail stores, the Camon iSKY 2 will begin retailing from August 20th onwards. Read further to know more about the two phones.

Display
The Camon iACE and iSKY2, both sport the same display with the screen size measuring 5.5-inch. The resolution on the phones is HD+ (1600x900), and they both come with an 18:9 aspect ratio screen.

Performance
In specifications also, both the phones pack identically the same hardware thus it will be safe to say that they will perform equally in all areas. The processing power on the phone is brought together by MT6739WW 1.5GHz quad-core 64-bit chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Both the phones have the option of expanding the storage via a microSD card up to 128GB.

On the software front, the phones boot HiOS based on Android 8.1 Oreo. As far as battery is concerned, both the phones pack a 3050mAh unit for power. Another thing to note is that while the Camon iACE comes with face unlock technology only, the CAMON iSKY2 also comes with fingerprint sensor alongside the face unlock. The colour options on the phone include Champagne Gold, Midnight Black & Midnight Blue.

Camera
Since these two smartphones make their entry into the market as camera-centric devices, they come with some emphasis on imaging. The Camon iACE sports a 13MP shooter on the rear with f/2.0 aperture. This sensor comes accompanied with dual LED flash. On the front, there is an 8MP shooter with a f/2.0 aperture again paired with a dual-LED flash.

On the other hand, the iSKY2 features a 13MP snapper on the rear side with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash while on the front side there is a 13MP (f2.0) + VGA camera equipped with dual LED flash.

Pricing and Offers
The Camon iACE comes with a price tag of Rs 6,799 while the Camon iSKY2 comes with a price tag of Rs 7,499. Reliance Jio is also giving an attractive cashback offer worth Rs 2,200 for the buyers of these phones. As part of this offer, users will get 44 cashback vouchers of Rs 50 each in MyJio account. These vouchers will be redeemable on every subsequent recharge of Rs 198/Rs 299. It’s notable that the Rs 198 plan by Reliance Jio offers 2GB data per day high-speed data while the Rs 299 plan ships 3GB data per day high-speed data along with unlimited Voice calling and SMS for 28 days validity. In addition to the cashback, the buyers of the phone will also get an advantage of one-time screen replacement in one year, 100 days’ free replacement, and 1-month extended warranty under Tecno’s “111” brand promise.
