Google Home Can Now Pair With Bluetooth Speakers

Google has finally rolled out the much-awaited feature for Google Home- allowing users to connect to other Bluetooth speakers. When Google unveiled the Home speaker back in 2016, everyone was surprised that the company did not allow it to connect with other audio sources. But that's going to change now as Google has rolled the support for other audio sources. Users can now connect it to Bluetooth speakers and can enjoy the music across every room. Google says that it has brought this feature after hearing how much users wanted to amp up the sound with the Google Home Mini, which is the smallest model in the family of Google Home speakers.

This feature is present on Amazon Echo devices for ages now, but sadly, Google did not allow until now. And the fact that there's no 3.55mm headphone jack in Google Home speakers has worried users a bit more, but for the music lovers who wanted a massive sound device, the search giant has introduced the Google Home Max, which is the highest model in the family.

The Google Home Mini, in particular, has the tiny speakers of all and starting today, users can connect it to a better sounding speaker for enjoying the music.

All the Google Home features will be added in the background, so if you own any Google Home device, the chances are that you must have received it already. To get started, pair any compatible Bluetooth speaker with your Google Home: Open the Google Home app, head to device settings and follow the pairing instructions to make it your default speaker. Then give it a whirl. Say “Hey Google, shuffle my workout playlist” or “Hey Google, turn up the volume.” The music will automatically play on your Bluetooth speaker—without you having to tell Google the name of the device.

Google also says users can double the sound with half the effort by adding any Bluetooth speaker they want to a group in the Google Home app for the multi-room audio.

However, do make a note that you'll still need to talk to your Google Home device and not the connected Bluetooth speakers for queries like changing the music track and using smart home commands, which is understandable.

Google did not launch any of the Google Home products in India, but that's going to change very soon as the search giant is planning to launch the Google Home Mini speaker in India next month alongside the Google Mesh Router. That said, there's no official confirmation from Google yet, and these are rumours.
