Xiaomi has been launching an array of smartphones in India of late, but that doesn’t mean that the craze for its older smartphones faded away. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A, popularly known as Desh Ka Smartphone will be available for purchase today on Flipkart and Mi.com. As always, the phone will be available in a ‘flash sale’ today, meaning there are fewer chances that you might get one because of the demand the smartphone has right now. The cheaper variant with 2GB of RAM costs Rs 5,999, whereas the 3GB RAM variant will be available at Rs 6,999. We suggest you to save the address details ahead of the sale itself so that it will be easier for you during the checkout process.

The Redmi 5A was launched back in November 2017, but still, the phone is selling like hotcakes in the market. Earlier, Xiaomi offered the 2GB RAM variant at Rs 4,999, but within three months, the company managed to sell five million units of the Redmi 5A, and as they stated during the launch event, they have hiked the price of the base 2GB RAM variant to Rs 5,999 now.
To recall, the Redmi 5A flaunts a 5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset and comes in two RAM variants. The base variant offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, whereas the premium variant comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There’s a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion, which is a good thing.
