Xiaomi Rolls Out MIUI 9.2 Global Stable ROM to Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus, and More Devices

Xiaomi is busy all the time in rolling out new software updates to the users. Today, the Chinese company started rolling out MIUI 9.2 Global Stable ROM to some of its smartphones, and the list includes the recently launched Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. Furthermore, Xiaomi said that some of the users of Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4X, and Mi Max 2 would also receive the update, but the broader rollout will happen in the coming days. The update size depends on the device which you're using.

The MIUI 9.2 Global Stable ROM is rolling out to Redmi Note 5A/Redmi Note 5A/Redmi Y1 Lite, Redmi Note 5A Prime/Redmi Y1, Mi MIX 2, Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi 4 Prime, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Note, please click here to download all ROMs. And as stated, some users of the popular Redmi Note 4 will receive it now.

Also, do make a note that this is Global Stable update, meaning users already on the MIUI 9 Global ROM will receive the update right now. And for users on Global Beta, there will be a new update releasing this Friday with bug fixes. This update is in-line with the company's promise of rolling out update to 40 Xiaomi devices.

Also, Xiaomi recently rolled out a new Global Beta ROM based on Android 8.0 Oreo to its flagship smartphone, the Mi Mix 2. Xiaomi is doing a good job in rolling out new features to its smartphones, but the sad part is all these updates are based on Android Nougat itself. When Google announced Android P, Xiaomi will move to Android Ore. The Chinese company should fix this issue at the earliest.
