Xiaomi will launch its phablet smartphone, the Mi Max 3 in Q2 2018. Months ahead of its official launch, the Mi Max 3′ specifications have leaked online. A new leak from Chinese portal Weibo today revealed that the Mi Max 3 would have a 6.99-inch Full HD+ display, dual rear cameras, and Snapdragon 635 SoC. The phone is also expected to come with a 5500mAh battery, in-line with Max tagline. And the phone will come with fast charging support too.

Recently, we have come across a report about Mi Max 3 suggesting that Xiaomi will use a massive 7-inch 18:9 display on the smartphone, but turns out to be, the Mi Max 3 will have a 6.99-inch display with 18:9 resolution on the front. Xiaomi currently has three 18:9 display smartphones- the Mi Mix 2, the Redmi 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus smartphones. The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 7 also expected to feature an 18:9 display on the front. And most probably, Xiaomi’s 2018 smartphones will feature 18:9 display.
Coming to the hardware, the Mi Max 3 is now said to be powered by the unannounced Snapdragon 635 chipset, mated to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There’s another report which suggested the phone will come with Snapdragon 660 SoC chipset inside.
Qualcomm is yet to announce the Snapdragon 635 SoC, and a recent report of Redmi Note 5 revealed that the phone would come with Snapdragon 632 SoC. It’ surprising to believe that Qualcomm is planning these many mid-range chipsets for 2018. The company already has the Snapdragon 630 SoC and Snapdragon 636 SoC.
