Domestic smartphone brand CENTRiC has announced a smartphone in the Indian market today. Dubbed as the CENTRiC L3, the smartphone is priced at Rs 6,749 and goes against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite, Intex ELYT Dual, etc. The device is already up for sale in the country in two colour options- Quartz Grey and Raisin Black. As of now, there's no info from CENTRiC on where the company is selling the smartphone- offline or online market, but it stated that the device is already up for sale.

Being a budget device, the CENTRiC L3 boasts mediocre specifications, in-line with the competitors. The CENTRiC L3 sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The display also comes with 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, the L3 has an unspecified 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek chipset, which works in tandem with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

CENTRiC has added a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB, but unfortunately, it's a hybrid slot and not a dedicated microSD card slot.

It has become a tread for Indian smartphone brands not to reveal the exact chipset model, but according to us, the L3 may have the MediaTek MT6750 SoC, which is present on several other budget smartphones as well. The chipset is accompanied by a Mali T720 MP2 GPU.

Manish Agarwal, Founder, Centric Mobiles said At CENTRiC, we know how important a smart phone with good technological specifications is for the young generation of our country. And, that's why we have launched L3 which has all the desired specifications in the right budget. With L3, we aim to become the category leaders.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the CENTRiC L3 offers a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens and LED flash. At the front the phone, we have a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

The L3 also offers the essential connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a micro USB port. This entire package is backed by a 3050mAh battery.

The CENTRiC L3 is the company's first smartphone for 2018, and the brand is expected to launch more smartphones going forward. Recently, we reviewed the CENTRiC A1 here and termed it as a decent package for the asking price.

Back in his engineering days, he used to play with smartphones by installing custom ROMs and that passion got him into the tech industry. He still goes nuts about a smartphone knocking his door for review. Currently managing everything at Telecom Talk, Chakri is trying to master PUBG Mobile in his free time.
