Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Rumoured to Feature a 7-inch Full HD+ Display and Snapdragon 630 SoC

Xiaomi turned the tables of phablet category with the launch of Xiaomi Mi Max last year. The company sold over 3 million units of Mi Max globally, and this year’s Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also impressed many out there. With such success, how could Xiaomi not launch a successor to the Mi Max 2? Well, the Chinese company is already rumoured to be working on the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, which would be released in May 2018 or to be specific in late first half of 2018.

A rumour coming out from Chinese portal cnmo cites that Xiaomi is planning for an 18:9 display on the Mi Max 3, meaning the device will have a larger display than the earlier generation Mi Max devices, but the overall footprint of the device will be same.

The report also suggested that the phone will have a 7-inch Full HD+ display, which keeps the footprint of the device similar to earlier Mi Max devices.

Furthermore, the report also added that the Mi Max 3 might come in two variants- one with Snapdragon 630 SoC and the other one with Snapdragon 660 SoC. This was rumoured with the Mi Max 2 as well, but Xiaomi launched just one variant of the Mi Max 2 with Snapdragon 625 SoC.

Xiaomi might add dual camera setup at the back of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3. Xiaomi is yet to launch a sub Rs 15,000 dual camera smartphone, which might be changed next month with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. But a Mi Max 3 with dual camera setup at the rear would be a decent phone.
