Honor, the sub-brand has Huawei slashed the price of the Honor 8 Lite smartphone in India. Launched back in May 2017, the Honor 8 Lite was a stripped down version of the Honor 8 smartphone that was launched last year. The smartphone was launched at Rs. 17,999 in the country, but after the price cut, it will retail for Rs. 15,999.
The official price cut of the smartphone is Rs. 15,999, but the Black colour variant of the Honor 8 Lite is available on Flipkart at an even lower price of Rs. 14,699.
Being a downgraded version of the Honor 8, the 8 Lite featured a similar design as the former, which indeed is the standout feature in the device. Also, Huawei introduced the EMUI 5.0 in India with the Honor 8 Lite itself, and it was based on top of Android Nougat. The EMUI 5.0 brought in various new features such as dual apps, and other intelligent features.
Diving into the specifications of the Honor 8 Lite, the smartphone measures just 147 grams in weight and has a thickness 7.6mm. Aforesaid, the phone has a premium design, and it's constructed out of glass and metal.
Hardware wise, the Honor 8 Lite has similar specifications as the Honor 6X. It has a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080*1920 pixels. The display has a 2.5D curved glass on top, which makes the display look decent from the front.
Internally, it is powered by Huawei's in-house HiSilicon Kirin 655 processor, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone also has a microSD slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
The Honor 8 Lite comes with a 12MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and autofocus support. At the front of the phone, there's an 8MP front-facing camera, and the lens are wide-angle ones with 77-degree field-of-view.
Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG, and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer A 3000mAh battery backs the entire package.
