OnePlus 5 has been one of the best smartphones this year and needless to say, the world is excited to see what the company has up its sleeve for its next-generation smartphone. There have been rumours for quite some time that the company’s next phone is underway and now according to a new report, the OnePlus 5T’s design renders have been leaked and it is expected to be launched as early as next month.

Incidentally, there were speculations that OnePlus was planning to skip the OnePlus 5T this year due to the lack of a new chipset from Qualcomm and instead, was secretly working on the OnePlus 6. Today, a new report by GizmoChina states that the company is more likely to launch the OnePlus 5T in November.

OnePlus has previously launched the OnePlus 3T just six months after the OnePlus 3 was pushed into the market, with the major difference being in terms of the processor. To recall, OnePlus 3 came with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Soc while its successor, the 3T, featured a Snapdragon 821 processor.

With the latest report of OnePlus 5T, looks like the company is back to repeating the trend. If that is indeed true, then there wouldn’t be much to look forward to in the OnePlus 5T except for a more advanced processor. However, the same report claims that the phone is expected to come with some massive changes from its current flagship device, the OnePlus 5.

Going by the said report, the upcoming OnePlus 5T might ditch the 5.5-inch display of the OnePlus 5 and would instead go for an LG V30-like 6-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) display. Also, in a bid to keep up with the changing trend, the OnePlus 5T is said to come with a very S8-like slim bezel display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

The design renders of the phone look similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8 design and seems to be bigger than what OnePlus phones usually look like. In terms of hardware, one can expect the Snapdragon 835 chipset clubbed with up to 8GB of RAM. The upcoming handset might also offer a larger battery and a better camera. It remains to see if this new phone is the OnePlus 6 or the OnePlus 5T and since there is no official confirmation, we suggest you take this news with a pinch of salt.
