Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with 5.99-inch FHD+ Display, Snapdragon 835 Soc Launched at Rs. 35,999 in India

Xiaomi today made a comeback into the Indian flagship market with the launch of its bezel-less Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 smartphone. The Chinese company, last year launched the first Mix series smartphone, dubbed as Xiaomi Mi Mix, which changed the way of how smartphone displays look.

The Mi Mix arrived with a 6.4-inch near bezel-less display with an unusual 17:9 aspect ratio. However, with the Mi Mix 2, Xiaomi went with the trend of 18:9 display.

Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 features ceramic body at the back, which makes the device more sturdier than the metal-bodied smartphones. Up front, the Mi Mix 2 has a gorgeous 5.9-inch Full HD+ display, carrying a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels.

Internally, the Mi Mix 2 has the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, mated with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There’s the Adreno 540 GPU to handle graphics-intensive tasks.

Optics wise, the Mi Mix 2 comes with a single 12MP sensor, which is the same sensor used in the Xiaomi Mi 6. The rear camera has 4-axis Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and f/2.0 aperture. Xiaomi has added a 5MP front-facing camera in the Mix 2, which is present at the bottom of the phone.

The Mix 2 has support for 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port. Sadly, Xiaomi has ditched the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack in the smartphone, in favour of the USB Type-C audio.

The smartphone runs Android Nougat based MIUI 9 and is backed by a 3400mAh battery. The phone has all the sensors such as an accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyroscope.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Indian Price and Availability

Xiaomi has priced the Mi Mix 2 at Rs. 35,999 in the Indian market. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart. The phone will be available as a preview sale on Flipkart on October 17.

Chakri is a go-to guy for your next smartphone recommendation. Back in his engineering days, he used to play with smartphones by installing custom ROMs and that passion got him into the tech industry. He still goes nuts about a smartphone knocking his door for review. Currently managing everything at Telecom Talk, Chakri is trying to master PUBG Mobile in his free time.

Replaced products do have warranty, all the days in service center will be added or flat 30-45 days if it’s about to lapse. You never loose anything in next 3 months….even OP and every service is like that… except apple, Samsung and other reputed costly brands…value for money OEM service sucks.

Your replies are always logical. Sachin needs to understand that if u pay less then u will surely get something less. Dunno why is he recommending oneplus 5. All these chinese brands are the same. Anyday go for Samsung if you want service.

Apple in India is pathetic as well. Super expensive phone, super expensive service cost. In India they dont give easy replacement now. And the customer care on phone is just about fancy english and polite language while giving no solutions. My friends new iPhone 6 hardly 2 months old was not serviced/replaced for the bendgate issue. My 5S fingerprint sensor was not working and was under warranty. They said they will only replace if it doesnt work altogether. Sometimes the sensor used to work few times after restart and again stop working. They just dis not fix it for me.… Read more »
