Recently, it was said that the Vivo's latest selfie-centered smartphone, the V7+, which sports a revolutionary 24MP front-facing camera doesn't feature any such camera and the Chinese company is misleading the customers big time. The reason for this is the Snapdragon 450 SoC, which can handle up to a 21MP single camera.
However, Vivo went ahead and announced the V7+ with 24MP selfie camera, which raised several questions. But now, the Chinese company has officially sent out a note clearing all the confusion. Here's what Vivo has to say:
“We appreciate your interest in Vivo and our products. Vivo would like to reiterate that the new Vivo V7+ front camera sensor is indeed capable of shooting 24MP photos. The Qualcomm website will be updated shortly to include support of this specification. We always guarantee the authenticity of our information, as well as our dedication to innovation and our consumers.”
So, it's officially confirmed that the Vivo V7+ has a 24MP front shooter, which is an industry first. Not for forget, the V7+ is the first Snapdragon 450 smartphone to launch in India.
Priced at Rs. 21,990, the Vivo V7+ is designed for the selfie and music lovers. The device packs in an advanced Hi-Fi audio chip for advanced sound. The V7+ is also the brand's first 18:9 display smartphone with a display size of 5.99-inch, however, it' still an HD+ display, not an FHD+ panel.
The chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and the fingerprint scanner is placed at the back of the phone within reach of your index finger. The rear camera of the V7+ is a 16MP unit. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with FunTouch OS on top. This entire package is backed by a 3225mAh battery; Vivo did not mention about the fast charging support.
The phone comes with connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The device is currently available for pre-order on Flipkart and will be up for sale on September 15.
