Xiaomi will introduce a new phone in India on September 5, which will also be the company's first dual camera smartphone for the Indian market. Xiaomi has been teasing the smartphone in various social media platforms and everyone expected the phone to be the recently announced Mi 5X.

But that isn't the case. A new Xiaomi teaser confirmed the smartphone will cater into an all new series. This might be the reason why Xiaomi used the hash tag #XiaomiGlobalLaunch. This is an exciting news for the Indian consumers and for Xiaomi India as well because they're holding their first global launch in India.

At the same time, everyone is wondering what Xiaomi has got under its shelves? Well, this remains to be a mystery for now. However, we're expecting that the device will be the Mi 5X itself, but with a different operating system.

If you remember, two weeks ago, we have reported that Xiaomi is working closely with the search giant Google over an Android One device. The device was allegedly called as the Xiaomi Mi A1. The only difference between the Mi 5X and Mi A1 will be the stock Android.

Back then, Google introduced Android One project keeping Indian consumers in mind. First up, Google partnered with vendors such as Micromax, Karbonn, Spice to release Android One smartphones, but the project failed miserably. It's no surprise that Google is looking to partner with Xiaomi for an Android One device, seeing the growth of Xiaomi in the last two years in the Indian market.

Imagine a flagship dual camera smartphone with stock Android and software updates right from the Android owner below Rs. 15,000? Sounds impressive. But again, we're not sure whether Xiaomi will introduce the rumoured Mi A1 or either a smartphone with stock Android on September 5.

The confirmed things, for now, are the dual camera setup, that too- a 'flagship dual camera' setup. That being said, the launch date of this mysterious phone is just a few days from now.
