Following the huge success in the online marketplace, the company has tied up with Redington India to strengthen its retail presence, for exclusive distribution of the smartphone. The srt.phone, which draws inspiration from Sachin Tendulkar, is a tribute to the fans from Smartron and Sachin himself and has been much loved by the consumers. In fact, the srt in the smartphone stands for Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.

Diving into the specifications of the srt.phone, it is powered by the 5.5-inch Full HD display and is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset. The chipset is accompanied by 4GB of RAM and comes in two storage options- 32GB and 64GB. The phone has Adreno 510 GPU to handle the graphics in the smartphone. Smartron is touting its t.cloud storage, which provides unlimited cloud space for the users of srt.phone.

Coming to the optics, the Smartron srt.phone rocks a 13MP rear camera with BIS sensor, PDAF, and f/2.0 aperture. Smartron has added a 5MP wide-angle front-facing camera. The srt.phone comes with connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. It boots Android 7.0 Nougat with guaranteed upgrade to Android O when it releases. The device has a 3000mAh battery.

"The srt.phone is an exceptional product which draws inspiration from the master, Sachin Tendulkar and we want more people to experience the smartphone. We are overwhelmed by the response that we received from consumers who ordered the srt.phone online. And therefore, we decided to take it to offline retail as well. We have decided to partner with Redington India to take the srt.phone to offline retail stores where consumers can experience this exceptional device and get a touch and feel of the phone. This is another step for us to put our consumers first and give them more options to buy our products " said Amit Boni, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Smartron.

Update: Smartron has just announced the offline prices of the srt.phone, and they're not the same as online prices as we wrote in the article. The 32GB version of the srt.phone will cost Rs. 14,499, while the 64GB option costs Rs. 15,499. Smartron is giving free insurance for the offline buyers.
