Telecom Operator Website/ App.
Telecom operators offer lucrative discounts or cashback for users on recharge done through their web portal/app. Sometime telcos even offer more value for the recharge done. Currently, Airtel is offering 5% cashback up to Rs.25 on recharge/bill payment for four times in a month for payments done through Airtel Payments Bank. Idea also offers 5% talktime in the prepaid account for recharges done through it's My Idea App/ Idea website.
Online recharge websites such as Paytm, Freecharge, Mobikwik.
Paytm offers cashback in the Paytm wallet. Freecharge has an ongoing referral offer where the referrer, as well as the referee, get Rs.50 in the Freecharge wallet on the referral’s first recharge. Mobikwik offers a certain percentage of Supercash in the Mobikwik wallet to the user. It is to be noted that there is no cashback on Airtel recharge/bill payment with any of the above recharge websites. Please check for the ongoing offers on the recharge website before recharge/bill payment.
Cashback websites
Cashback sites are simple to use. Instead of going directly to an online recharge website, a user visits a cashback website and then a recharge website through the link provided by it. The user will have to do recharge /bill payment on the recharge website and will get some money from the cashback website. Getting a cashback confirmed can take up to 90 days or more. It is often a percentage of the total price paid for recharge.
Use mobile balance to recharge for STV/ Data Packs using USSD.
Telecom operators give more than full talktime on some recharge denominations. A subscriber can pay for more than full talktime and then recharge through USSD for rate cutters, 3G/4G packs and so on.
Offer on Credit / Debit card for recharge.
Several credit/ debit card companies have an offer on recharge. The benefit is generally in the form of cashback for the user’s credit card/debit card account. Some credit cards give Reward points on shopping to the card holder. These reward points can then later be redeemed for recharge/ bill payment.
