Google is already working on the next generation Pixel phones and here's a slight confirmation of the same. The expected bigger phone of all- the Google Taimen is now spotted on benchmarking tool Geekbench with decent scores. Don't get excited as the listing did not reveal many details of the phone.
The Google Taimen spotted on the listing was running Android O and has 4GB of RAM on board. The chipset will most likely be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 because of the scores it achieved. The single core score was 1804, and the multi-core score was 6248. These scores were considerably low when compared to the OnePlus 5's, which was spotted recently. But Google is underclocking the chipset at 1.90GHz.
It was earlier speculated that Google is working on three Pixel phones for this year and the bigger one maybe the Taimen with a 6-inch display. The listing, as said earlier, did not reveal many details, but we're expecting them to surface online in coming days.
There are some chances that Google may give some hint about the devices at its Keynote I/O event next week. But, these are just our speculations. Also, Google will announce the Android O Beta program at the same event.
The other two rumoured Pixel phones are Walleye and Muskie. While the Walleye will replace the Google Pixel, the Muskie will be the successor to Google Pixel XL. As seen with the first generation Pixel phones, Google is expected to separate all the three with screen size and battery capacity.
Google may be looking at the Infinity display technology for the upcoming Pixel phones, same as the LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8 series. The 2017 Pixel phones will feature better hardware and might be IP68 certified as well. Also, the camera tech in the phones will be improved, but it's not going to be a major upgrade though, according to some rumours.
