Chinese smartphone vendor, Zopo, after launching the Zopo Color M4 at Rs. 4999 two weeks ago in India has announced the Zopo Color M5 with entry-level specifications. The device is priced at Rs. 5,999 and takes on the entry-level king Xiaomi Redmi 4A.
Zopo claims that the device has been launched with the aim to provide a stylish 4G VoLTE budget smartphone to the Indian market. The Color M5 will be sold across all the major offline channels in the country.
Diving into the specifications of the phone, the Color M5 features a 5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Under the hood, the phone has a 64-bit MediaTek MT6737M chipset, coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.
Powering the device is a 2100mAh battery with no support for any fast charging technology. The phone comes with connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS.
This dual SIM smartphone sports a 5MP autofocus primary camera with a LED Flash along with a 2MP secondary camera that also has a face beauty mode to capture selfies. The rear camera of the phone records 1080p videos, while the front-facing camera can capture videos of up to 720p resolution. The camera app also comes with features such as panorama, geo-tagging, smile shot mode, continuous-shot mode and time lapse video. Zopo has done an excellent job in integrating numerous camera features to the phone.
The Zopo Color M5 boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes preloaded with apps such as Zopo Care, Zopo World along with a keyboard app that supports more than 25 Indian regional languages. Zopo has unveiled the phone in five different colours - Peach, Matte White, Caribbean Blue, Indigo and Charcoal Black.
