Samsung Launches 4G VoLTE-enabled Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G in India, Starting at Rs. 6,890

Samsung has come up with two entry-level smartphones in the J-series - the Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G. Both the phones are priced at Rs. 8,490 and Rs 6,890 respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace features a 5-inch Super AMOLED display (960x540 Pixels) and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU and 1.5GB of RAM. The phone bears 8GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash, along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash. The smartphone also features Ultra Data Saving mode, S Bike Mode, and S Power Planning.

It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and supports connectivity options such as Dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, HD-voice calling, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and is backed by a 2600mAh battery. The phone will be available in Silver, Black, and Gold color options all across India.

On the other hand, the Galaxy J1 4G comes with a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED screen and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core chipset paired with 1GB of RAM. It features 8GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The phone sports a 5-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It supports connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, HD-voice calling, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, GPS, and GLONASS. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and is backed by a 2050mAh battery.
