When Jio announced to offer unlimited voice calls on their network to curb incumbent operators control over voice market, it seems Idea Cellular to become the first operator to cut down voice tariffs by lowering the rates of unlimited voice calling packs across the country.
The third largest telecom operator which has more than 176 million customers has now started sending out emails offering unlimited calls at much lower cost than current market rates. Though the company has still not claimed it officially, many people have already reported that they have got such mails where one can easily subscribe to the unlimited packs at comparatively lesser cost.
Out of the total 22 telecom circles, in most of the circles the Aditya Birla owned telecom operator offers unlimited on-net calling at Rs 340-350. But this time, Idea customers can get the same benefits at almost 20% lesser cost as the company is offering same benefits at Rs 299.
