Lyf Earth 2 goes official with 5-inch 1080p display, retina scanner and 4G VoLTE

Reliance launched yet another smartphone in the Lyf series, dubbed as Lyf Earth 2. The device will be up for sale at Rs. 21,599 in Green, White, Gold, and Midnight Black color variants.

The Lyf Earth 2 is a successor to the Earth 1 and comes with a 5-inch 1080p full HD display. The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, Laser autofocus along with a 13-megapixel front snapper with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and LED flash. The device is also equipped with voice commands for taking selfies or switching between rear and front camera.

In addition, like most of the recently launched smartphones, this one too features a fingerprint scanner (embedded into Home button) which also supports assigning the fingerprint of each finger to a different app for quick launching the app on unlocking the screen. Interestingly, the Lyf Earth 2 also boasts a retina scanner for unlocking the phone. In terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G LTE with VoLTE (LTE-FDD BAND 3 (1800); BAND 5 (850) LTE-TDD; BAND 40 (2300).

The first TVC of Lyf Earth 2 has also been released, which features Priyanka Chopra as the brand icon.
