Lenovo has started rolling out the Android Marshmallow 6.0 update for K4 Note through OTA update. The users can manually check for the update via Settings > About Phone > System Update.
The latest update bumps the software build to K50a40_S322_160314_ROW and is about 1.6GB in size. The update will bring an array of new features and support including revamped app permissions, Google Now on Tap, Android Pay mobile payment system, new fingerprint APIs for developers Doze, and adoptable storage, among others.
According to a release by the company, Lenovo has sold a total of 600,000 units of the K4 Note and 150,000 units of the popular ANT VR headsets. The smartphone was exclusively sold via Amazon India at a price tag of Rs. 11,999. Bundled with ANT VR headsets, it was priced at Rs. 13,299.

The K4 Note bears a 13MP rear camera with PDAF autofocus, an f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash, apart from a 5MP front-facing camera.
It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage that's expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). Connectivity options include 4G LTE, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and FM radio. A 3300mAh battery with fast charging completes the package.
Lenovo has been consistent in pushing latest Android updates for its smartphones and so far has rolled out Android M for K3 Note, A7000, P1, and S1.
