Sony launches selfie-centric Xperia M5 Dual with 13MP front-facing camera in India, at Rs. 37,990

After teasing the device for a while, Sony has finally launched the Xperia M5 Dual in India, today. The phone will be up for purchase from today onwards, at a price of Rs. 37,990, in Gold and Black color options.

Xperia M5 DualThe Sony Xperia M5 Dual is a selfie-focused smartphone with IP65 and IP68 certification, which makes it water and dust resistant. Taking forward the legacy of other Sony smartphones, this one too comes with a cap-less USB port. The single-SIM variant of the Xperia M5 has not been launched in India yet.




There is a 13-megapixel front-facing camera onboard featuring Sony’s Exmor RS sensor, along with a 21.5-megapixel primary camera on the rear with Hybrid Autofocus. The primary camera on the device is capable of recording 4K video, 5X image zoom, image stabilizer, and auto scene recognition. The phone comes with a 5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, and is powered by a 2GHz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, and has 16GB internal storage, which can be further enhanced up to 200GB via microSD card.

In terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and NFC. It is backed by a 2,600 mAh battery with STAMINA mode. The device is available for purchase from today at Sony Smartphone Lounges, Sony Centers, and other leading physical stores all around the nation.
