The OnePlus One has been facing touchscreen issues from quite a while and the company itself acknowledged on one occasion. Today, OnePlus in collaboration with Cyanogen released an update - Cyanogen OS 12 build version YNG1TAS2I3 — the update claims to resolve all the issues.

Interestingly, OnePlus had promised an update to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, but unfortunately, the Cyanogen OS 12 is based on the Android 5.0 Lollipop, not the Android 5.1.1. The update released today touts to fix the touchscreen issue, enhance the bluetooth connectivity in car systems, and also MMS related issues with few carriers.

OnePlus OneOnePlus users whose devices are running on the build YNG1TAS17L, can very well download the Over-the-air (OTA) zip. file from here as its size is just 20MB. Users will be required to update it through recovery and for all those who are not on the build YNG1TAS17L, can alternatively download the complete ROM, which is of 566MB in size. As a precaution, we would suggest you to back-up your device’s data before flashing the OTA update or full ROM on it.

OnePlus did roll out an update in November in order to fix the touchscreen issues, but it could only take care of the issue partially. Earlier this month, the company hinted on the forthcoming Android 5.1 update for the device. The company affirms that the OnePlus One users globally would soon be getting the Android 5.1 Lollipop-based CM 12.1 and the Oxygen OS update for the same is presently on hold, and will be released after the launch of OnePlus 2. Talking about the Cyanogen OS 12.1 update, the company says that it is currently doing a factory test and is waiting for Google certification.
