Micromax has launched a slightly upgraded version of the Canvas A1, the company's first Android One offering. The Micromax Canvas A1 AQ4502 comes with higher internal storage – 8GB instead of 4GB in the original variant – along with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop installed out of the box.
Other than the increased internal storage, everything else remains the same. The device still features a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, 1.3GHz quad-core MT6582 processor, 1GB RAM, microSD card slot, 5-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and 1080p video recording, 2-megapixel secondary camera, and a 1,700 mAh battery.
The original variant of the Micromax Canvas A1 was released back in September 2014 along with the Karbonn Sparkle V and the Spice Dream Uno. All these smartphones are a part of Google's Android One program that is designed to offer a satisfying smartphone experience with the latest software to consumers at an entry-level price range.
