Jolla, a new smartphone brand which was formed by some ex-Nokia employees in October 2011, has confirmed that they will be launching their smartphone in India in an exclusive partnership with Snapdeal. The Jolla phone runs on Sailfish OS, open source version of MeeGo. Not only it has a completely button-less design, it also works solely on gestures and lets you run Android apps.

A lot of new companies are making their way into India because it is expected to become the largest smartphone market in the world by year 2016. Jolla doesn't run a full version of Android but it is compatible with Android apps. We've already seen the fate of Nokia X smartphones. Do you think just running Android apps would make them worth buying?
