Samsung, the Korean electronics giant is pretty much the reason for the popularity of big screen smartphones globally and it is all set to bridge the gap between the phablets and tablets. Yes, you read it right, we said phablets and tablets and not smartphones and tablets. Samsung is preparing the Galaxy Mega 7.0 smartphone and it looks like the official images of the same have just leaked on to the internet courtesy of a case maker in China.

As the name suggests, it will feature a 7 inch screen. The resolution of the display will be 720p and it will come in 2 models: SM-T2558 and SM-T2556 which are probably the single and dual SIM variants of the same. Under the hood of the device will be a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor which can also be seen in the Moto G. It will be coupled with a 1.5 GB.

The internal storage of the device will stand at 8GB which would probably be available for expansion by another 32GB/64GB. The details about the camera resolution are unknown but our best guess would be 8MP for the rear camera. This is all that we know about the smartphone as of now. The next major announcement from Samsung will take place on June 12 when it launches the Tab S range of premium tablets and the Mega 7.0 might join in too.
