According to the information available as of now, a variant of it might come with a newer octa-core Exynos 5430 SoC which features four ARM Cortex A15 cores ticking at 2.15 GHz along with four ARM Cortex A7 cores ticking at 1.5 GHz. The GPU is speculated to be from ARM's own Mali series running at 600 MHz. The Galaxy S5 Prime destined for the US market will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC which comes with a faster Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU which is said to be 40% faster than the Adreno 330 GPU used in Snapdragon 801.

It will also feature a new display controller and a newer HEVC video decoder which might help in playback of 8K UHD videos. Samsung Seiren, a new dedicated audio co-processor will also be present in this new high-end smartphone from Samsung. Just like the Indian version of Galaxy S5, the Project KQ will feature a new Intel XMM7620 LTE modem with download speeds as fast as 300Mbit/s

If that wasn't enough, the Exynos-based Project KQ will for the very first time utilize an Intel LTE modem (XMM7620). It packs quite a punch supporting speeds of up to 300Mbit/s down and 150Mbit/s up. Only the European version will get this LTE chip, while the Korean market will make do with a Samsung-made LTE modem codenamed Shannon 300 (SS300).
