We all have craved for an iPhone that could compete with Android smartphones these days in terms of screen size. It looks like Apple may have finally realised the need of bigger screen size and they might already be testing an iPhone with a screen larger than the current 4 inch size. According to a report from Japanese publication EMSOne, Apple might launch the iPhone 6 with a 4.7 inch screen size might enter mass production by July and will be launched in September this year.

Other reports state that Apple iPhone 6 might also be introduced with a slightly larger screen size of 5.5 inches. Although it might enter production phase only in September due to some production issues and launched just in time for holiday shopping season. The new iPhone 6 is supposed to be much taller than the iPhone 5S and considerably slimmer. In an interview earlier this year with Wall Street Journal, Tim Cook stated;

"What we've said is that until the technology is ready, we don't want to cross that line. That doesn't say we'll never do it. We want to give our customers what's right in all respects – not just the size but in the resolution, in the clarity, in the contrast, in the reliability. There are many different parameters to measure a display and we care about all those, because we know that's the window to the software."

Looks like Apple has figured out how to provide a larger screened iPhone without compromise in handling and software. The phone is said to feature ultra-thin bezels. Apple have previously used thin bezels with iPad Mini by using software ways to discard fingers touching the screen while holding the device. The September launch also points to its release along with widely rumoured Apple iWatch which will be launched in competition with smartwatches from LG, Motorola, Samsung and Sony. It might also compete with a bunch of fitness trackers like Fitbit Force, Jawbone Up and Nike FuelBand.
