Micromax has always had a thing for quietly launching budget smartphones. The company’s Bolt lineup has been catering to the sub Rs 6,000 smartphone segment and the latest entrant is the Micromax Bolt A66. The same has been launched for Rs 5,999 through online retailers like Flipkart, Snapdeal and the likes. Here’s a list of its specifications:
- It comes with a 4.5 inch screen with a resolution of 854x480 pixels
- Under the hood is a 1 GHz Spreadtrum SC7710G processor
- It runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
- There’s a 2MP at the rear coupled with a flash and it teams up with VGA front camera
- There’s 512 MB of RAM and the internal memory stands at 512 MB out of which 165 MB is available for users. It can be expanded further by another 32GB
- It has 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS for connectivity
- Giving it the juice is a 1,500 mAh battery
Our take: The smartphone is on sale for Rs 5,999 and will come in Black and White colours. For me, it ain’t value for money so I’ll go against suggesting the same for buying.
