Jio Relaunches Prime Membership With Rs 300 Prime Pass and One-Year Tariff Protection

India’s largest telecom operator Reliance Jio has reintroduced its Jio Prime membership at a one-time fee of Rs 300, offering customers a one-year price guarantee as part of its 10-year celebrations. The membership allows subscribers to continue recharging with eligible Jio plans at current prices until September 5, 2027, even if tariffs are revised during the period.

Jio Prime Membership Reintroduced at Rs 300

“With New Jio Prime membership, customers who want additional price certainty for future can protect today’s tariff plans and continue recharging with their favourite plans until 5 September 2027,” Jio said on August 17, 2026.

The membership also offers cashback vouchers worth Rs 600, comprising a Rs 300 voucher on a new JioHome or JioPC connection and another Rs 300 voucher for adding a new Jio SIM connection for friends or family. Members will additionally receive early access to new Jio products, services and trials, along with priority customer support and other exclusive benefits. “Additional member-exclusive benefits announced during the membership period,” Jio said.

Jio Prime is open to existing prepaid and postpaid customers, while users of other networks can join by porting to Jio or taking a new connection. The membership can be purchased through the MyJio app, Jio.com, Jio Stores and authorised partner stores.

Jio Founding Members Program

The telco initially launched Prime Membership in February 2017 at Rs 99 as a one-time fee for users whom the company called Founding Customers or Members, who would receive special benefits. At the time of the announcement, Jio said the Jio Prime subscription was limited to 100 million consumers who were on its network. The subscription officially kicked off on March 1, 2017, and closed on March 31, 2017. However, after a decade of Jio’s journey, the telco has brought back its Prime Membership in 2026.
