Oppo unveils Neo 5 (2015) in India, priced at Rs. 9,990

Oppo has unveiled a new smartphone in India today, known as Neo 5. The device takes forward the legacy of company’s ’Neo’ series, and the Neo 5 was announced globally in August 2014.

Oppo Neo 5 (2015)The Neo 5 comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with oppo’s in-house ColorOS 2.0.1 UI on top. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel front camera.

Oppo Neo 5 (2015)It is a dual-SIM device, with support for connectivity features such as 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and A-GPS. There is 8GB of internal storage on-board, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It is backed by a 2,000mAh battery with power-saving mode that makes it go for longer period. The latest Oppo Neo 5 is available in Sapphire Blue and Crystal White colors, for a price of Rs. 9,990.

Commenting on the new launch, Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO Mobiles India said, Apart from urban India, OPPO is focusing on rural markets as well as Indian market’s major population lies in rural areas which are a huge market in itself. OPPO Neo 5 (2015) will target consumers who expect superior specifications at decent pricing. Out target is to reach out and cater to each segment in the market. We are excited to introduce Neo 5 for our young and energetic customers, a Smartphone series which has generated great response in the past,” he said.

Given the price, the Oppo Neo 5 will be competing against devices such as Lenovo A7000, Samsung Galaxy Core Prime 4G and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G.

Ye oppo wale kis duniya me jee rhe h abhi tak…..
They don’t know about the Indian market and what customers are expecting today below rs.10000.
All companies are giving good specifications below rs.10000 and they still are sticking on below hd resolution and 1gb ram….

That’s why they are fail in India..


Micromax Canvas A1 having same Chipset,Processer,GPU available at Rs 4759 on snapdeal.the only difference is 4Gb excess internal memory,3Mega Pixel more camera and one compass sensor make about Rs 5000 excess.that too without 4G. too expensive…
the only thing i like in oppo is the interface..unlike most chainees UI,where icons placed on widget screen.it doesn’t place app icons on widget screen by default

its interface is more sexier than apple and sony..i suggest root n install custom rom modded from color os on micromax canvas a1 makes neo 5.
