
The Indian telecom gear maker HFCL has won a deal worth Rs $72.96 million (or Rs 656.10 crore) to export the optical fiber cable (OFC) internationally. The company confirmed the development via a regulatory filing on Saturday at the stock exchanges.
In a note, HFCL said, "We are pleased to inform all stakeholders that the company has secured export orders worth ~$72.96 million (equivalent to ~?656.10 crore), for the supply of optical fiber cables, through its overseas wholly owned subsidiary, from a renowned international customer."

According to the terms of agreement, HFCL has to supply the optical fiber cable by November 2026. The company has a wide presence internationally and is also working with Indian customers such as Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) to supply IP/MPLS routers for 5G network in several cities.
"This significant order reaffirms the trust our global customers place in the Company’s manufacturing capabilities, technological excellence and product quality," said HFCL in the regulatory filing.

Even under the BharatNet Phase-3, HFCL has managed to win deals in about 40-50% of the gram panchayats where the telecom infrastructure has to be built. HFCL also mentioned during the Q2 FY26 results that it has received major export wins and strong traction in the defence electronics portfolio.
The shares of the company are trading at Rs 66.77, about 3.27% lower on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday (at the time of writing this.)
