Denmark on Wednesday introduced a framework to help EU member states leverage generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) in compliance with the European Union’s new AI Act — with Microsoft as one of the founding partners. With this Denmark is set to become the first country in Europe to introduce clear guidelines for the responsible implementation of AI (Artificial Intelligence) Act across all sectors through public-private partnership.

Denmark Creates Responsible AI Guidelines
Leading companies from the financial, public, and legal sectors, which adhere to high regulatory standards, have joined forces to create these specific directions. “This initiative will offer best-practice examples on how AI can be safely and legally integrated to support employees, while also delivering secure and reliable services to customers and citizens,” Netcompany said in a statement.
White Paper: Best Practices for AI Assistants
A government-backed alliance of key Danish companies, led by IT consultancy Netcompany, has released the white paper titled “Responsible Use of AI Assistants in the Public and Private Sector.” The document outlines “best-practice examples” for businesses on how to use AI systems and assist employees in implementing them within a regulated environment.

Public-Private Partnership to Accelerate AI
“For Europe to be competitive on this global scene, the ability to develop and apply new technologies like AI will be an increasingly crucial factor for success. Therefore, a large group of Danish private and public organisations has formed a unique public-private partnership to accelerate the implementation of AI, making it easier, quicker, and safer for European organisations serving customers and citizens to implement AI assistants,” Netcompany further added.
