The Regulatory Authority for Telecommunications of Cote d’Ivoire (Autorite de Regulation des Telecommunications de Cote d’Ivoire, ARTCI) seems to be considering the implementation of shared active telecommunications infrastructure as a part of the 5G network deployment in the nation. As per information on ARTCI’s official website, they have issued a request for proposals from potential contractors to develop mechanisms for active infrastructure sharing within the scope of 5G Networks.

Infrastructure Sharing for 5G
The official announcement from ARTCI indicates the intention to choose a firm responsible for developing mechanisms to facilitate the sharing of active telecommunications (TIC) infrastructure, as part of the deployment of 5G networks in Cote d’Ivoire. Currently, 5G has not yet been introduced in the Ivory Coast, a nation located along the southern coastline of West Africa.
The regulatory body is also actively seeking a contracting firm, as evidenced by the proposal outlining the selection of a company tasked with conducting a study on the formulation of a digital inclusion strategy. Additionally, there is a pursuit to engage a firm for a prospective study concerning the challenges posed by artificial intelligence, 5G, and metaverse in the context of fostering digital economy growth.
