BSNL To Launch 3G HSPA Fixed Wireless Phone with Video Calling Facility

India's National Telecom Backbone and Pan India 3G mobile service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) all set to launch Next generation 3G Fixed Wireless-Land-line Phone with Video Calling and 3G HSPA Internet access facility.




BSNL's 3G Fixed Wireless Phone works on the GSM - 3G network providing user with high quality wireless 3G Video calling, high-speed wireless Internet access up to 3.6 Mbps speed, Mobile TV, 3G multimedia services, SMS and Voice Calls.

Tariff Plan / Bundled Offer :

TelecomTalk's exclusive sources revels that BSNL will introduce special FRC of Rs.249 (Incl. of S. Tax) wherein subscriber will get Free 75 min Voice call On-net, 50 min Free Voice call Off-net, 75 min Free Video call On-net, 50 min Free Video call Off-net, Free 150 Local SMS Any Network,Free 100 National SMS Any Network and 250 MB Free 3G Data usage valid for 30 days. Beyond free usage 3G special prepaid plan tariff will be applicable call, sms and data usage. Subscribers will allow to recharge with prepaid 3G Data STVs and talk time recharges for further usage.

Price and Device Features :

According to our exclusive sources, Initially BSNL's 3G FWP will be launched in Metro cities and it will cost around Rs.5500. The device can be used as a 3G Internet modem whereas subscriber can connect to the PC through A-A USB Cable to access high speed wireless 3G broadband with speed up to 3.6 Mbps. It is a converged communication terminal that supports various wireless value added services for its Home and Business User.

It can also be used for browsing Internet, also known as "Wireless Internet", "Wireless Web", or "Mobile Web". means that the phone contains mini-browser software that will let you navigate various services through the Internet, shown on the phone's display.

The device has an in-built 0.3 Megapixel – CMOS Camera which can be tilted vertically in 45 degrees with the 3.2” big LCD enabling user to adjust the LCD to get comfortable video calls.

The operator claims that users of this exciting next generation landline phone can enjoy the instant connectivity with quick & easy installation of FWP without laying any copper lines or Cables and is most suitable alternative to conventional PSTN Telephone Line. It is designed to self-charge the battery for backup power and with external high gain antenna for better signal.
