Looks like India’s National Telecom backbone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and Pan India 3G Mobile Service provider is now working in full swing to generate more and more revenue from its 3G Data service.
It seems that BSNL is joining the gang with private operators, few days back BSNL revised its Prepaid 3G Data offerings and hikes the tariff as we shared on TelecomTalk, now the operator overhauled its Pan India 3G postpaid data portfolio.
BSNL’s low cost 3G data plans for postpaid users with monthly rental of Rs.89, Rs.189, Rs.999, Rs.1359, Rs.1819 and Rs.2720 are withdrawn for new customers. Existing data plan users can continue with these plans for 6 months from the date of activations as per TRAI guideline.
BSNL introduced new 3G Postpaid plans at monthly rental of Rs.1133, Rs.1633 and Rs.2039 which will be effective from 1st JAN 2012. These Plans are being offered at discounted rental/price of Rs.680, Rs.1143 and Rs.1427 (i.e.FMC Rs. 680, 1,143 & 1,427) upto 31.12.2011.
Interestingly, leading private operators like IDEA Cellular, Vodafone Essar (in some circles) and Reliance Mobile (RCOM) which has launched such a discount scheme or "Double Dhamaka" offer valid till December 2011 and BSNL's all Discounted 3G Data Plans are also valid till 31st Dec 2011.
